This article is about the PSU Webmail. The term webmail has a dual meaning. One is used to describe a web client. The other is used for describing the email services provided by the different websites. The desktop email client has few drawbacks. The webmail overcomes all these drawbacks. The biggest advantage of webmail is that email can be sent and received wherever there is a web browser. However it must be noted that the webmail needs to be connected to the internet. This webmail was first released in Europe by Soren Vejrum and Luca Manuza.

Soren Vejrum developed this concept of webmail while he was working at a Business School in Denmark. However, Luca Manuza wrote his webmail during his stay in Sardinia. On 8th August 1995, Matt Mankins released his “Webex” application in United States of America. It is difficult to use the webmail client as well as the desktop client simultaneously using the POP3 protocol. However this problem can be fixed by using the IMAP4 protocol. All the contents of the mailbox will be displayed on both of them. There are few privacy concerns regarding the webmail as well. Online spam filters are being provided by most of the webmail services.

PSU Webmail stands for Penn State Webmail. This PSU Webmail has a new dynamic interface. Penn State University is one of the most well renowned universities of United States. It was founded way back in the year 1855. Thousands of students study in this great University. This university comprises of twenty four campuses. Graham Spanier is the president of this great institution. Students mostly use their laptops and palmtops for their studying purposes. The schedules and lectures are informed to the students of this university by means of a very popular webmail service. The PSU Webmail is basically an email client. The Penn State email can be easily accessed with the help of any web browser. However this facility can only be enjoyed by the faculty members and students of that university. The PSU Webmail provides the same features as that of Gmail or Yahoo. This PSU Webmail has four options: Inbox, Drafts, Trash and Compose. The storage capacity of the inbox is about 1GB. It allows fifty messages to be displayed at a time. The color of the screen can be changed using this webmail. This web mail has an excellent feature of privacy as well. It prevents the hackers from hacking any account.
